Ingredients
There are only 6 ingredients total—including salt and pepper—in this oven-roasted broccoli.
- Florets of broccoli: Use the tops (also known as florets) of freshly cut broccoli in this dish. With excellent results, you may also use refrigerated broccoli florets!
- Avocado Oil: To achieve the greatest flavor, use high-quality olive oil. To add even more flavor, you may try flavored olive oils, such as this garlic olive oil. Any neutral oil, such as avocado, canola oil, etc., will work.
- Garlic Powder: Since it surrounds the broccoli and lends it a crunchy texture, I use garlic powder in this recipe. I don’t suggest switching things out!
- Sea salt: To enhance the garlic flavor, add garlic salt in place of regular salt.
- Paprika: Any kind will do, but smoked paprika is my favorite!
- Black pepper: For optimal flavor, use fresh ground black pepper.
How to Make Roasted Broccoli?

- Create Spice Blend:
Making the spice combination is the initial step in making this recipe for baked broccoli. The spices will be uniformly dispersed all through the broccoli florets if they are combined in advance. Save it away for future use.
- Warm up the oven:
Set the oven’s temperature to 425°F (220°C).
- Add salt, lemon juice, and olive oil to the broccoli and clove toss:
Broccoli florets should be lightly coated in a big bowl of olive oil, lemon juice, and minced garlic. The broccoli should be salted and then coated.
- Place the florets on a baking sheet in a single layer:
On a baking tray that has been lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil, rubbed with a little olive oil, or both, lay the chopped broccoli in a thin layer.
- Roast:
Roast for 16 to 20 minutes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius) or until fork-tender and lightly browned. The greatest parts are the browned bits! So if you notice some charring, don’t be alarmed.

Re-add the roasted broccoli to the bowl and top with plenty of freshly grated parmesan cheese and black pepper. Use plenty of black pepper since broccoli like it!
